January 17 2006
Toyota were back in action today for the start of the second week of testing. Both drivers completed a number of laps to end up the quickest of the V8's. McLaren and Williams were the only other 2 teams out on track, with McLaren's Pedro de la Rosa ending up fastest with a V10 engine.
McLaren are still awaiting the arrival of their V8, which is expected later this month. Gary Paffett running in the second orange McLaren finished fourth, splitting the two Toyota's.
Jarno Trulli ended up second, but suffered from a slight problem during the afternoon. His teammate Ralf Schumacher was fourth.
The solo running Williams Cosworth of Nico Rosbery failed to complete a single flying lap as the car grounded to a halt from the off.
Tomorrow Honda are set to join Williams, Toyota and McLaren.
