Jerez Day 5

Bridgestone undertook a day of wet weather testing at Jerez with Ferrari’s Marc Gene setting the pace, 0.2 seconds ahead of Toyota’s Ricardo Zonta. After their change from Michelin to Bridgestone for the 2006 season, Toyota were positive with their first wet weather test on new rubber.

Although Marc Gene’s Ferrari stopped on track, this didn’t stop the Italian team from going fastest. Behind the Toyota came the Williams of Nico Rosberg, followed by the two Midland drivers Albers and Monteiro who shared the same car.

 

Testing resumes next Tuesday.
