Toyota's own GP in 2007

Bernie Ecclestone, it has been reported, will add the Toyota-owned Fuji circuit to the 2007 F1 calendar. The track which is based at the foot of Mt. Fuji hosted the Japanese GP in 1976-77, however Honda-owned Suzuka has featured at every other Japanese F1 race.

'Sources close to the negotiations' told Japanese publication Asahi Weekly that the FIA and Bernie have decided, but not yet announced, the Fuji '07 race.

"One possible outcome of negotiations," Asahi Weekly printed, "would be for Suzuka to share the event with Fuji."

Suzuka's contract expires in 2006.
