Toyota F1 Barcelona Test Summary

The Toyota F1 team completed several days of testing at the Barclona de Catalunya circuit. Present were Ricardo Zonta and Ryan Briscoe. Both drivers had the opportunity to drive the TF103B car, on which the team is developing components for 2004.

	Dates: 02-04 December 2003 Location: Circuit de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain Driver: Ricardo Zonta and Ryan Briscoe Track Length: 4.730km Ricardo Zonta Total laps: 104 (TF103B) and 88 (TF103) Best lap time: 1m16.898s Chassis: TF103B "On the first and second day, I drove the new TF103B car, which had run for the first time last week in Paul Ricard. Besides working further on reliability checks, we also worked on some of the control systems development and I had to get used to playing with all fingers and thumbs on the steering wheel again, which I quickly adapted to. Today, I switched back to this year's race car, in which I covered a lot of laps in varied track and weather conditions, and we managed some good work on 2004 developments. It was a good test for me, with a good team atmosphere and it was nice to have the visit of Mike Gascoyne showing great motivation towards the drivers and the team." I enjoyed very much the great opportunity to test both this year's race car and the hybrid car in the same week. It is the first time I had the chance to have a back to back test this year and it gave me the chance to confirm the results from my previous test in Valencia last week. I feel very comfortable in the car and working with the team as a whole. I am now going to take a break over the Christmas period and spend a couple of weeks in Australia with my family, taking the opportunity to recharge my batteries."
