Malaysia: Button aiming to repeat previous podium

Honda Racing F1's Jenson Button heads east to Malaysia for the second race of the 2006 F1 world championship, and he's expecting another exciting race against the top teams.

"Having finished fourth at the Bahrain Grand Prix, which is the highest position we've finished in at the first race of a season, I am really looking forward to showing what we can do at the next race," explained Jenson. "It's reassuring that we come away from Bahrain knowing that we genuinely have the pace to compete with the other top teams."

Following an encouraging, although somewhat troubled, start in Bahrain, it's clear that the Honda RA106 is a capable chassis, and Jenson is sure it will suit the extreme conditions at Sepang.

"Our car should work well at every circuit this year but particularly at hot races like Malaysia where the conditions are very well suited to our tyres," he explained.

"I enjoy racing there as it has a lot of quick, flowing corners as well as some really fast straights," added the Briton.

He should enjoy racing there, as it's the circuit that Button secured his first Formula One race podium, back in 2004, although it's probably best to gloss over the following years event.

"I think we can expect another exciting race this weekend," finished Button.
