Haug: 'Not where we want to be'

Norbert Haug has admitted to German press that McLaren's MP4-21 is currently lagging behind where they wanted to be. This comes soon after Mercedes sent a revised V8 engine to the test tracks.

"We are not where we wanted to be in mid February," Haug told Auto Motor Und Sport. "At the moment, we are perhaps where we should have been in the middle of December."

Haug went on to tell a different publication, Motorsport Aktuell, that some teams were ahead of McLaren. He told how the team haven't had a 'dream start' and he wouldn't mind adding another month to preparation time before the Bahrain GP.
