Day 2: Hamilton Leads The Way

Current championship leader Lewis Hamilton has finished the second day of testing at the Jerez circuit in southern Spain first. The twenty two year old Englishmen finished the day almost a full second faster than next runner Ralf Schumacher, as McLaren's main rivals , Ferrari, are currently testing at the Mugello circuit along with fellow Italian team Scuderia Torro Rosso
Conditions were dry and sunny for the second day, with most teams focusing their efforts on mechanical and aerodynamic setup work, for the upcoming Hungarian grand prix.
Lewis finished the day, with a fastest time of 1:19:670 which was 0.9 seconds faster than second placed Ralf Schumacher. Hamilton completed 90 laps of the Spanish circuit.
Kazuki Nakajima followed next, Williams's test and reserve driver finished the day 0.044 seconds behind the Toyota.
BMW driver Robert Kubica finished the day in fourth position, the Polish driver completing 104 laps, and ending the day with a best time of 1:20:709.
Testing will continue tomorrow.
