Fernando is moaning!!

"From the first moment I wasn't comfortable with everything," Alonso said on Cadena Ser radio. "It's an English team, with an English team mate. You know that all of the help goes his way. I've understood that from the first moment and, well, I'm not moaning about it."

So Fernando claims that because he is in an English team with an English team mate, his english team mate get's thing's 'his way'. Let us clear one thing up, like fernando says, he is not 'moaning' he was merely telling all of sundry because he 'understands' the situation.

Well he is wrong firstly because McLaren is a British team and Fernando has a British team mate, and to imply because he is not of the right nationality, he is not getting thing’s going his ‘way’ is quite frankly laughable, and insult to the team and an insult to Lewis Hamilton.

It was just a matter of time before the moaning would start, first it was an attack on the FIA helping Ferrari, then it was an attack on his former team, saying Renault did not want him to win the title, because that would mean McLaren got the number one on their car; and now it is his current employers turn to bear the brunt of Fernando’s frustration.

So Fernando Alonso’s race went wrong at Canada, and of course let us blame the team, of course Ron Dennis ordered the likes of Kubica and Luizzi to crash and sabotage his own drivers race. Of course Ron Dennis forced Fernando Alonso to make the mistake into the final sector and lose pole during qualifying, and of course it is all because McLaren are 'English', and so is Lewis Hamilton, so obviously there must be a conspiracy!

Well he blamed Massa in Barcelona for his own mistake, now he blames the team for something they had NO control over aka the safety car, again Fernando went wide into turn one on lap one and allowed Heidfield to pass him, I can see a pattern every time Fernando has been compromised, most of the time it had been a driver error, therefore he suffered because of his own mistakes. the safety car was just a lottery, which Fernando Alonso himself admitted.

The safety car rulings had Ron Dennis up in arms, not quite the reaction then for a man who is just hell bent on allowing the ‘English’ to have his ‘way’.

Remember Lewis Hamilton had FIVE laps more fuel than Fernando in Monte Carlo and each time Lewis was called in early, therefore he was unable to challenge for the win, when the decisions go Fernando’s way, he says nada, but when Lewis beat him fair and square in Canada, or if you’re; cheeky with the help of a safety car, Fernando blames it one his nationality.

Funny thing is, when Fernando was at Renault had a team mate who offered little or no resistance to him, therefore i think he like Michael has forgotten what competition from within the team is like.

Remember at Renault, his team mate had to take a drive through penalty at china 2005, because he stacked so Fernando could win the race. Now at McLaren he has entered a team where they try to as humanly possible in this sport, allow for a first amongst equal policy, that means Lewis Hamilton can race his team, although maybe Monte Carlo aside *wink*.

Fernando finds himself in a position that Prost was in, when he was teamed with Senna, he had two world titles to his name, he had just made Keke Rosberg look average, and he had a team mate who had no world titles to his name, but there was glimpses of something special.

Fernando has two world titles to his name, held off Michael Schumacher for the title in 2006 and is now generally regarded as one of the best in F1.

Like Senna had no titles when he joined McLaren, Lewis does not have any titles to his name, Lewis has the major disadvantage of still being in his rookie season, at least Senna had a few seasons in the sport, but what they both had from the team, was the team believing in their talent.

Ron Dennis said back then, like his team have said today, both drivers can race one another, although the team can exercise discretion, like Monaco showed.

We all saw what Senna did to Prost, and whether Lewis could do the same to Fernando, only time will tell, but already I can see similarities emerging. Like Prost did, Fernando has fallen into the trap of moaning and bitching, or in Fernando's case not knowing he is bitching.

He put out the bias vibe, but was quick to point out he is not moaning, well I didn’t like Lewis’ outburst after Monaco, and I do not like Fernando’s moaning slash not really moaning.

He said he was never comfortable from the start when he joined McLaren, why because there is no Flavio here to close ranks on your team mate?

Well ask Raikkonen if he felt that English bias Fernando talks about, when he had a British team mate in a British team, ask Mika Hakkinen if he wasn’t comfortable with having a British team mate. At the end of the day passports are irrelevant, talent is what counts, Ron traditionally has always been ‘attracted’ to drivers that are super aggressive, stylish, fierce but generally fair drivers, he had a good relationship with Mika because of his ability and not his nationality.

It is no secret that Ron Dennis didn’t like some aspects of Prost’s character, especially after he handed his winners trophy to the tifosi, but he still gave him a car that won a title, and when Senna was his team mate as well.

Fact is the more Fernando moans and bitches, the less credibility he has, is he running scared of his rookie team mate?

Would Ron Dennis have signed Fernando on a hugely attractive salary if he was going to do everything in his power to let a rookie on less than a quarter of his wage, beat him? Surely Ron would have just stuck Lewis next to an average driver and that way he really could control the bias and for a fraction of the cost. Why would Ron Dennis after saying McLaren have got one of their largest sponsorship portfolios ever, especially with a lot of investment coming from Spain, jeopardise this by purposely screwing over Fernando?

Answer is he wouldn’t, fact is if Fernando is behind Lewis in the championship, because Lewis has been consistently gracing the podium, has managed to win, and has yet been ‘broken’ by his double world champion team mate. Lewis has not actually head to head been beaten by Fernando, or at least I wouldn’t say he has, Monaco was a team strategy, first race in Australia Lewis nails Alonso of the start, again the pit strategy worked better for Fernando, Barcelona, Fernando makes a mistake, Canada makes a mistake and finishes behind Lewis, and got over taken by Sato in the process. Bahrain he finished fifth along way behind Lewis Hamilton, Malaysia being the only exception, Fernando just drove away from the field, while Lewis kept the Ferrari’s away from Fernando and himself. When Fernando has finished in front of Hamilton, it’s because he has started in front of Hamilton, has Fernando actually overtaken Lewis Hamilton? NO, has Lewis overtaken Fernando? YES! Draw your own conclusions from that.

My final thought “You know that all of the help goes his way” funny, the only real race where I thought there was an sort of help, if you could call it that, was Monaco, and Lewis came off worst!
