Hamilton finishes 2006 in style

On the final day of testing, Britains Lewis Hamilton dominated the time sheets, but not all the attention was at Lewis. Spains Fernando Alonso was offered the chance to test the MP4-21 which he gladly accepted, that oppertunity came at a price of $2.6 Million. Is it money well spent or a waste?
While Lewis Hamilton finished 2006 over 1 tenth of a second faster that his closest more experienced competitors, Fernando Alonso was getting to grips with the MP4-21. Reported on the Mclaren site is that Fernando Alonso finished 3rd, which is brilliant for a first outing, but most other sources indicate that Alonso finished 5th or 9th. Despite the placing mishaps, Alonso was quick, beating former team mate Giancarlo Fisichella by a few hundreths of a second.
