F1 action has returned to Europe after its brief trip acroos the pond to Canada. Magny-Cours in France is the location of this weekends Grand Prix which got underway with Free Practice 1 & 2 sessions earlier today. Red Bull Racing had a lacklustre start to the weekend but are hoping that the data collected will enable improvements to be found in time for tomorrrows final practice and qualifying.
Car 9 DAVID COULTHARD, 1st Practice P12, 2nd Practice P10
"There was some initial graining on the tyres early in the session, but it improved as the track rubbered in. It was a pretty normal Friday practice for us, we managed to work through all of our programme and now we'll look at the data to see what we can do for tomorrow."
Car 10 MARK WEBBER, 1st Practice P13, 2nd Practice P16
"It wasn't one of our better Fridays, it's a good thing it wasn't Saturday today! At least we have a chance to work through everything tonight and understand how we can get more performance from the car. After a very encouraging Barcelona test, it's suddenly a bit of a mystery here how to get comfortable with the car. But, we'll work tonight and try to get a better set-up ahead of qualifying tomorrow."
Really need a good race to consolidate 4th spot,..particularly with Lewis and Rosberg dropping down,..the opportunity is to good to let slip
