Red Bull Racing: Barcelona Day 2 Report

Mark’s programme focused on evaluating some new development car parts in preparation for Melbourne and his day was therefore mainly data driven. Although some minor issues cost the team some time, valuable information was gained ahead of the first race in Australia.
Christian Horner: "Unfortunately David suffered a trapped nerve in his neck yesterday, so we took the precautionary measure of giving him a day to recover ahead of the final day of testing and this near to the start of the season. It was logical to use Sebastian Vettel to continue testing, evaluating various important pre- Melbourne developments. We're grateful to Toro Rosso for making him available to us today. All being well, David will be back in the car tomorrow morning."
Sebastian quickly acclimatised himself with the RB4, and focused on evaluating various set-ups, notching up 110 laps in the process.
Drivers: Mark Webber RB4 - 02 Time: 1:23.458, Laps: 58

Fastest Lap: L. Hamilton: 1:21.234
Circuit length: 4.655 km
During testing the drivers have to stop when a "minor problem" is detected as it makes it much easier to analyse where a problem originated and what may have caused it. In a race situation these problems are "driven around".
If we look at todays test session, Kubica stopped on track twice, and Fisi, Heikki, Hamilton, Kimi & Button all stopped once. I'm pretty sure that we will not see that level of mechnaical drop outs in Melbourne.
