BMW won't seek replacement

It has been confirmed that if the WilliamsF1 fails to take up BMW's offer of engines for the 2006 season, BMW will not look to find another team to run BMW engines..

BMW Motorsport Director Dr Mario Theissen said: "There is no decision on the engines for 2006 yet. You'll have to ask Frank (Williams) if he wants our engines.

"We have told him he must decide by the 30th week of the year, which is three weeks away. If there is no deal, then we will not actively seek another customer."
