BMW WilliamsF1 team Friday at the Circuit de Catalunya would see the team
continue their test program with both Mark Webber and Antonio Pizzonia
focusing on development work for the 2005 season.
WilliamsF1 Test Team Manager Tim Newton commented on the days testing by saying: "We’ve had another productive day today at Barcelona. Mark continued on his learning curve in the FW26, working on chassis set-up and tyre testing with Michelin. By the end of the day, he had completed an impressive 101 laps and set the second quickest time of the session behind Zonta. Antonio continued brake work and systems checks on the interim car but was hindered by gearbox problems. Mark will complete the team’s programme tomorrow with a wet test for Michelin.“ Team tyre supplier Michelin will test their wet weather tyres on Saturday by using water tankers to soak the track with water to simulate rain. |
