Michelin's Day - Canadian Grand Prix Update

The result of the Canadian Grand Prix was altered more than three hours after the race had ended in Montreal. The Williams-BMWs of runner-up Ralf Schumacher and fifth-placed Juan Pablo Montoya have been excluded for a braking irregularity, as have the Toyotas of Cristiano da Matta and Olivier Panis, which were originally classified eighth and 10th.

As a result, BAR-Honda star Jenson Button moves up to third place as the leading Michelin finisher. Team McLaren Mercedes/Michelin drivers Kimi Räikkönen and David Coulthard have been promoted to fifth and sixth.

Revised Race classification :

1. Michael Schumacher, Ferrari
2. Rubens Barrichello, Ferrari
3. Jenson Button, B.A.R. Honda/Michelin
4. Giancarlo Fishichella, Sauber
5. Kimi Räikkönen, McLaren Mercedes/Michelin
6. David Coulthard, McLaren Mercedes/Michelin
7. Timo Glock, Jordan
8. Nick Heidfeld, Jordan
