| Day four
of the BMW WilliamsF1 test at Barcelona again would be marred by another
accident which would see Toyota's Olivier Panis taken to hospital for
checks. As for the WilliamsF1 team Juan Pablo was joined by Antonio Pizzonia
and Nelsinho Piquet. The team was greeted with sunny conditions.
Juan Pablo would set a time
of 1m:14.804, completing fifty one laps as he worked through a programme of
tyre testing evaluating various tyre compounds and constructions. WilliamsF1 Chief Operations
Engineer Sam Michael said: "Antonio Pizzonia and Nelson Piquet picked up
testing responsibilities alongside Juan Pablo today. Antonio concentrated on
running systems checks today, while Juan focused on tyre testing. We had
some interruptions but across the day managed a useful 700km or so. Nelson
Piquet joined the programme today in an FW25 and made a good contribution.” |

At
the end of the day it would be Juan Pablo would would set the fastest time
as the team works towards further understanding the new FW26. It was not a
day for really quick times, as indicated by the fact that Juan Pablo's time
was over a second slower than the track record set by BAR's Takuma Sato.
