marred by the heavy crash of Sauber's Felipe Massa, which saw him taken to
hospital, the BMW WilliamsF1 team continued their five day test at the
Circuit de Catalunya. Joining Ralf and Marc was Juan Pablo Montoya. Ralf and
Juan Pablo had FW26's at their disposal while Marc use a FW25 with the 2003
P83 engine.
Ralf focused on aerodynamic and mechanical set-ups for the FW26. he would complete fifty one laps with a best lap time of 1m:14.679. For Juan Pablo his day would see him practice pit stops, completing forty laps, with a best time of 1:15.590. Marc would carry out tyre testing for Michelin, working through various tyre compound evaluations. He would complete sixty five laps, with a best time of 1m:14.997. As for Massa's accident very
early in the morning it came down to a suspension failure at Turn One which
