| The third
day of testing at Barcelona would see the BMW WilliamsF1 pair of Ralf
Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya continue to dominate proceedings. Ralf
would finish the day with a new lap record, beating the time he set just the
previous day. Team-mate Juan Pablo was less than a tenth of a second behind.
 The
days testing would again be run under sunny conditions with Ralf and Juan
Pablo been joined by Nico Rosberg. This was the young German drivers second
test with the BMW WilliamsF1 team over the last two months.
Ralf would complete seventy with a best time of 1m:15.630. His day was spent
working on setups, both mechanical and aerodynamic, for the new FW26. Juan
Pablo would complete fifty two laps as he worked on traction control system
tests. This involved several practice race starts. Nico Rosberg would finish
with the seventh fastest time, driving last year’s FW25. He would complete
eighty four laps, setting a best time of 1m:17.468.

Sam Michael said: “Today Juan Pablo and
Ralf continued running in the FW26s. Juan continued tyre compound testing
and evaluating different mechanical set ups while Ralf spent the day
evaluating different mechanical set ups and traction control. Nico Rosberg
drove the FW25A today, spending the whole day testing different mechanical
and aero set ups.”
Ralf and Juan Pablo will test tomorrow, with Marc Gené taking over
from Nico who will be back on duty on Friday. |
