The opening Friday practice session for the 2014 Italian Grand Prix would see both Williams Martini cars finish outside the top ten with Valtteri Bottas 12th and Felipe Massa 13th. Despite being one of the quickest in the speed traps the Williams cars seemed to struggle in certain parts of the track finishing 1.9 seconds off the quickest times. But it was early in the teams setup programme so the real indication of their pace should comne in the second Friday session.
