An interview of Bruno Senna after the final day of testing at the Jerez circuit, conducted by the Williams F1 team.

Q & A Bruno Senna  Jerez Test Day Four

Q: How did you compare in the tests?
BS: It is hard to say we were not following the same sort of testing programme as everybody else. I think we are there we the other guys in the midfield but we only find out for real in Barcelona when people start to do more straight forward test programmes then we will see.

Q: Yesterday we had some concerns about the slow speed stuff, do you feel like you made some progress say you found answers to the questions you had?
BS: Well we have been testing a lot of stuff in the car to try and improve tyre consistency, to improve high and low speed, every test we did today had an objective and ah we are getting to know the car better. This is the main objective of this test at Jerez and now when we come to Barcelona we know the car better, we know the tendencies and the most important thing is to know which is the direction to go whenever we face a problem.

Q: When you go to Barcelona do you feel that you have a strong platform, obviously you only have eight days left so have you got a strong platform to work from or have you initial baseline stuff to do?
BS: Yes I think we have strong platform we have a few ideas what we want to do in terms of direction but am each track is different with Jerez been a very unique track in terms of how it makes the car behave so for sure we are going have to get to Barcelona and learn at bit more at a more traditional circuit.

Q: Do you feel like you are getting more of an opportunity this year you are not just a test driver that you have to answer the expectations that the team has of you this year?
BS: Well this is a good type of pressure because it is working pressure it is not about been there trying to get in. I am sure that with more experience it just gets better and better. The team does give me great credit and they listen to what I say, so it is good to be really part of the team and make sure that they get information back.

Q: Do you feel like you can control the way the cars going?
BS: For sure our input makes a big difference on the direction that the team is developing the car so you know it is important to give them the right information otherwise you can definitely screw the team up a little bit.

Q: Two days in with out blown diffusers how do you feel in terms of your driving style and is it better for you does it work better for you?
BS: Well its a different concept for the car that we had last year and the driveability is very different from this years car to last years car I actually feel that this years car is a bit easier to drive than the car we were driving last year.

Q: Unknown question (related to tyres) followed by Bruno's answer
BS: Well the tyres seem to have less difference between them so the hard tyre is a bit less it is not as slow as it was last year and the medium tyre the same so I think Pirelli has made a more consistent job with tyre compounds this year and you know the first
significant difference is that it is cold here and we have to see when it gets hotter what the degradation will look like.
