After qualifying for the 2010 Brazilian Grand Prix, which saw Williams driver Nico Hulkenberg take pole, Williams Director of Engineering director Patrick Head in an interview for the BBC said that this pole was a big boost for the team as it tries to return back to the top of Formula One

Nico Hulkenberg would take pole for the race after making the most of the drying track conditions to take pole by over a second.

"There's no champagne for Saturday, but it's fantastic for the team," Head told the BBC.

"Everybody back at base and here is pushing to try and get back to being a front running team and this will give everybody good impetus."

As for the change to the softer slick tyre for the final period rookie Nico was helped by his more experienced team-mate Rubens Barrichello.

"Rubens changed to dries first, Rubens is very experienced in choice of tyres," Head explained.

"Nico thought it wasn't good enough for dries but his race engineer Tom McCulloch told him Rubens was going onto dries, Nico followed and put the hammer down and really did the job. It's fantastic."
