Renault auction for charity

The Renault F1 Team is to auction thirty signed items on eBay.fr, the French online marketplace. All profits from this initiative will go to the UNHCR (United Nations High Commission for Refugees) in order to support their programme for refugee children.

The auction will last two weeks, from 26 September to 13 October. During this period, visitors will be able to bid on www.ebay.fr for a wide range of unique, signed items donated by the entire Renault F1 Team.

Amongst these items are signed helmets from Jarno Trulli and Fernando Alonso, overalls from the three Team drivers, a part of Renault's Formula 1 engine and a large number of other items invaluable to motorsport fans. The launching price for all items will be 1 Euro.

38,000 Tibetan schoolchildren living in Nepal will benefit from primary education. The total sum raised by the auction will enable the financing of a 452,000 euro project, which will also include the maintenance of 49 schools and the training of 1,000 teachers.
