The second day
of the AT&T Williams teams Spa-Francorchamps test would see Nico Rosberg
continue but with the team having to cope with poor weather. Overnight
showers would hinder the start of the teams test programme with parts of the
track damp in the morning session.
Over
the course of the day it would be a case of trying to work around the poor
weather with rain showers affecting the circuit intermittently. This would
see Nico Rosberg only get limited running. Nico would set the ninth quickest
time of the day with a time of 1m:50.295. The final day will see Alex Wurz
replace Nico.
Williams F1 Test Team Manager Dickie Stanford commented: "The whole session
was severely hampered by rain today. We spent most of the day carrying out
our usual set-up preparations just waiting for dry spells and the
opportunity to send the car out. As a result, we lost a lot of track time.
Alex
will take over from Nico tomorrow so we will spend the evening converting
the
car and praying for better weather for our last day in Spa!” |
