The WilliamsF1
team would return to the Jerez circuit for their final test of 2006. The
test is over three days and on the first day it would be test driver Kazuki
Nakajima who had the driving duties.
It
would be a bright and sunny day, a contrast to the first day that Kazuki had
at Jerez. He would complete ninety five laps with a best time of
1m:20.859. It was another day of completing more mileage aiming to become
more familiar with a F1 car. He was aiming to complete enough laps to allow
him to obtain his super licence, which he did.
WilliamsF1 Test Team Manager Mike Condliffe commented: “Kazuki was driving
on our first day back in Jerez and weather conditions were much more
favourable than on his first run last Friday. The aim was for him to
complete a sufficient number of laps to be able to qualify for a super
licence, which he comfortably achieved. Towards the end of the session,
Kazuki practised starts to familiarise himself with the procedure. He has
had a very successful day and should be very pleased with his performance.” |
