Keeping faith

Despite the bad news on Friday that Heinz-Harald Frentzen had parted company with the Arrows team, Enrique Bernoldi is still remaining positive about his future and the future of Arrows. “Things have been difficult,” he told The Sun newspaper.

“You do not worry about the team when you are driving the car,” Bernoldi said to the British newspaper. “Things may be difficult at the moment but this is still an experience for me. I am in my second year in F1, and I believe I am improving.

“Unfortunately, the team has not had good results recently, but I am remaining very positive. I am pushing myself to do my best, although sometimes not everything has been up to me.”

The Sun also confirmed Bernoldi’s relationship with tennis star Jelena Dokic, and the Brazilian admitted that Jelena is helping him to cope with the difficulties faced by the team.

“It’s been helpful having a relationship with someone also involved in sport," he explained. “We both understand the pressures.”

The identity of Enrique’s new team mate for the Hungarian Grand Prix, in two weeks time, is still a mystery, but at least he is keeping faith with the Arrows team and concentrating on his immediate future and performance.
