The UK Monaco Grand Prix TV coverage initially reflected on the events that happened on the last corner of the Austrian Grand Prix with the Ferrari team. BAR boss Dave Richards, Jordan boss Eddie Jordan, and Arrows’ Tom Walkinshaw all gave their views on what happened.

ITV: “But Ferrari are absolutely defiant. They are saying, ‘Look we finished second three times in the World Championship, we lost out at the last hurdle. Michael Schumacher broke his leg in 1999 when we could have won that year, a few extra points in the bag would make all the difference, we will do this again.’”

Tom Walkinshaw: “I believe them... of course they will. Their job is to win the World Championship, that’s why those guys are paid, and there’s a number one driver and a number two driver. Obviously it’s in Rubens’ contract that he would have lifted off, and it will be in Michael’s contract that the other guy is supposed to lift off. So, you know, they’ve spent 20 odd years winning nothing and the last few years they’ve been really focused and they’ve won. I think it was clumsy, and it was insulting to all the fans the way it was done. I don’t think they should ever do that again so, you know, if they’re gonna do it they should sort themselves out in a much more discreet and dignified fashion.”
