Arrows to work on qualifying balance this week ?

OrangeArrows are due to start a two test at Silverstone today, and according to news sources look to have the circuit to themselves. The team are likely to be looking at qualifying balance, as indicated by HHF in the teams post Spanish Grand Prix press release.

For the rest of the grid, they are scattered across 5 locations with Minardi the only team not to be scheduled for any test mileage before the next Grand Prix in Austria. Circuito Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain, will play host to McLaren, Williams, Renault, Jaguar and Sauber from Tuesday to Friday.

Toyota test driver Ryan Briscoe will be on duty at Estoril, and will be joined by BAR's Anthony Davidson later this week. Team race drivers Mika Salo, Allan McNish, Olivier Panis and Jacques Villeneuve are also expected to be at work from Wednesday.

Ferrari will have developments in progress at Mugello and Fiorano, whilst Jordan are rumoured to be straight line testing at Elvington airfield with Marcel Lasee in the seat. Jordan's Giancarlo Fisichella could be joining Arrows at Silverstone on Wednesday for a sole days work.

After the Spanish Grand Prix, where Arrows scored their first point of the 2002 championship, Frentzen said, "I’m confident that this car has the potential to be even better, we just need to work on the balance for qualifying but we have a solution in the pipeline for that." Hopefully this means that the team will be spending these two days at Silverstone doing just that, leaving the squad in great shape for the Austrian Grand Prix weekend. At the time of writting there is no news as to which driver(s) will be on duty for the team.
