Red Bull Racing were up bright and early this morning for a bit of pit stop practice. Mark Webber lapped Parliment square in the shadow of Big Ben and completed fiver pit stops. Video footage below.

Fully intended heading off to this but some inconsiderate @#$%& had a party last night and played loud music until 4am... so I overslept!

hmmm? Wonders if it was a tad to early to stage the event or if Vettel would have drawn a bigger crowd?

It wasn't publicised, so the aim of the event wasn't to draw crowds. You'd have a hard job getting permission for a publicised event of this nature in central London on a weekday - even at 6am!

So Eddie Jordan pulled it off how? I think the year was 2004 and for Nigel the streets were adorned for him. Though I must confess I heard Piccadilly Circus was a busier place than Parliment Square.

If you are talking about the event that involved several teams and was publicised and organised by the FIA I think that you are comparing chalk and cheese. One was to give people an opportunity to get close to F1 cars in the centre of London - which I did attend and nobody was adorning the streets for Nigel - they wanted to see the more contemporary drivers! The event this morning was purely a photo opportunity for Red Bull.

Me is bad you are right. This photo op was like Mark driving across the Sydney Harbour Bridge for Williams.

Terrible in-lap, the pit stop was laboriously slow and his get-away reminded me of the 7:15 to Circular Quay departing!
