Despite not taking pole, Kimi Raikkonen is quite pleased with his third place result and is confident of a strong performance come race day. Some have been critical of Kimi's pace so far this weekend, however reports in the Finnish media have claimed that Raikkonen is not only holding back until the race itself, but also that he was quite heavy on fuel in qualifying.

This is what Kimi had to say:

"It seems that taking third place in qualifying is now becoming a habit. It's not a bad position, but obviously you always hope to be in front of everyone. On my second attempt, I was going very well but I lost time in the final sector, where the rear of the car was sliding a bit. I hope I will be able to make up some places, but I know it won't be easy. My feeling for the car is improving: there is still work to do, but it's going in the right direction."

Raikkonen will start third for tomorrow's race, alongside the McLaren of Lewis Hamilton. Kimi hopes that changes made to the Ferrari car during the previous test at Catalunya will improve the F2007's starts. Thes have unfortunately suffered recently, allowing the McLaren drivers to get the better of both Ferrari men.
