The BMW Sauber F1.09 is the BMW Sauber F1 Team's fourth car. However, diverse rule changes are not the only reason the car has little in common with its predecessors. Here we chart the route from F1.06 to the new F1.09.

The BMW Sauber F1 Team has every right to feel proud of its achievements to date. The balance sheet of the team from Munich and Hinwil reflects 272 points scored and 15 podium places achieved since 2006. Every year the engineers have managed to deliver a car capable of exceeding the team's self-imposed targets.

BMW Sauber F1.06.

Details:
- Change from V10 to V8 engines with capacity of 2.4 litres
- Narrowed rear profile, lowered frontal area
- Reduced cooling requirements
