Intel Racing Tour Finals at Munich's BMW Welt

Next week, visitors to Munich's BMW Welt will once again have the chance of hearing the roar of Formula One engines. This time, however, the sound won't come from an original BMW Sauber F1 Team single-seater but from six impressive Intel Racing Tour driving simulators.
Since 2007, Intel, Official Corporate Partner of the BMW Sauber F1
Team, has brought the unique Formula One atmosphere to shopping centres
and selected events. In the big season finale, the 2007 Intel Racing
Tour overall winner was rewarded with a BMW Z4 M Coupe. Now, the event
series makes its first appearance at BMW Welt, the BMW Group's modern
event and delivery centre.
From 4th to 7th August, entrants can try to gain a top-ten position on
the respective day's timesheet. Those who succeed in doing so secure
the chance of competing in the big finals, held on 8th August from
12:00 to 14:00hrs CET. Every morning from Monday, Munich's popular
radio station "Gong 96.3" will give away two "wild cards" for the
finals.
The finals on Friday will be presented live by host Mike Thiel.
Entrants will not only have the opportunity to take the place of
Formula One aces such as Nick Heidfeld or Robert Kubica for a few laps.
The fastest virtual racing drivers can also look forward to attractive
prizes. The overall winner, for instance, will be rewarded with a
high-performance Intel notebook in BMW Sauber F1 Team livery, while the
runner-up receives a BMW Sauber F1 Team Race Club Platinum Membership.
So, it will be worthwhile visiting BMW Welt and entering the event.
From 4th to 7th August (9:00 to 18:00hrs CET) all those interested will
have the opportunity to clock a fast lap time and qualify for the
finals of the Intel Racing Tour event held in Munich.
